Postdoctoral Researcher Cardiology
Amsterdam UMC
Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands
I am an enthusiastic postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Cardiology, Amsterdam UMC, specializing in clinical electrophysiology and cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging. Over the past six years, I have focused on CMR imaging in atrial fibrillation patients, with a particular emphasis on atrial myopathy. Additionally, I have investigated cardiac responses to various pacing strategies, including resynchronization therapy and conduction system pacing, using advanced CMR techniques.
My current research includes the detailed characterization of atrial remodeling post-ablation, visualization of atrial ablation lesions, and CMR-based risk stratification for implantable cardioverter-defibrillators. In the past two years, I have also been actively involved in interventional MRI, contributing to real-time MRI-guided right heart catheterizations and ablation procedures within the MRI scanner.
