Pediatric Cardiologist — Congenital Heart Disease & Cardiovascular Imaging
Pediatric cardiologist with a strong focus on congenital heart disease and advanced cardiovascular imaging. Trained at the University of Buenos Aires, completing medical school, a residency in General Pediatrics, and a specialist degree in Pediatric Cardiology. Later obtained advanced training at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London. During fellowships in Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR), work included the full spectrum of pediatric cardiology care: transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, stress imaging, cardiopulmonary testing, invasive procedures, and comprehensive involvement in CMR studies—from protocol supervision and intravenous access to comprehensive study interpretation and research activity. This international experience strengthened expertise in congenital cardiac imaging and reinforced a commitment to multidisciplinary, high-standard patient care.
Upon returning to Argentina, took a position as Pediatric Cardiology Consultant at Hospital General de Niños Pedro de Elizalde, contributing to the development of pediatric cardiology imaging services across the public healthcare network of Buenos Aires, with particular focus on congenital CMR. Additionally joined Centro de Diagnóstico Rossi and Sanatorio Franchin, practicing pediatric cardiology and expanding access to advanced imaging in both public and private settings.
Active member of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI). Holds Level 3 EACVI certification in Congenital CMR (2025) and EACVI certification in Congenital Echocardiography (2023). Current professional interests include the advancement of pediatric cardiac imaging in Latin America, the expansion of CMR availability, optimization of diagnostic pathways in congenital heart disease, and promotion of collaborative, cross-institutional approaches to improve pediatric cardiac care.
