Anthony Merlocco MD, MSt (Oxon), FSCMR is an Associate Professor, Director of Cardiac MRI, Co-Director of LeBonheur Ethics Committee and Center for Bioethics and Health Equity in Memphis, Tennessee at LeBonheur Children's Hospital. He also provides cardiac imaging care at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He received a B.A. from Cornell University, M.D. from Case Western Reserve, and an MSt. from the University of Oxford. He completed residency in Paediatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children and fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital and advanced imaging at Children's National. He focuses on advanced imaging and the ethics of animal organ transplantation in pediatrics (xenotransplantation). He has served as the chair of the SCMR Membership Committee, and has served on the pediatric subsections for Education and Societal Liasions.
