Dr. Vollbrecht completed medical school from 2013 to 2020, followed by residency training in Radiology beginning in 2020 and expected to be completed in January 2026. During this period, Dr. Vollbrecht gained comprehensive clinical and diagnostic experience across the full spectrum of radiology, with a particular focus on cardiovascular imaging.
Dr. Vollbrecht has been actively involved in cardiovascular magnetic resonance since 2017, developing extensive expertise in advanced CMR techniques, protocol optimization, and the interpretation of a wide range of cardiac pathologies. Building on this foundation, Dr. Vollbrecht began working with fetal CMR in 2021, contributing to a rapidly evolving field that supports prenatal diagnosis and multidisciplinary perinatal care.
In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Vollbrecht completed his doctoral thesis (Dr. med.) in 2020 and is currently pursuing his habilitation on fetal cardiac MRI, further expanding his academic expertise and underscoring his commitment to research and evidence-based practice. Dr. Vollbrecht’s scientific interests include innovative CMR applications, fetal CMR, and the integration of imaging findings into clinical decision-making.
Dedicated to improving patient care through high-quality imaging and ongoing research, Dr. Vollbrecht continues to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams and to participate in national and international radiology and cardiology communities.
