Dr Morné Kahts is a radiology resident based in Cape Town, South Africa, with a keen interest in advanced cardiovascular imaging. He is involved in both clinical and research-driven applications of CMR and has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and ongoing collaborative projects within the cardiovascular imaging field. His current research centres on the cardiometabolic manifestations of HIV in adolescents and young adults. Through this work, he aims to advance understanding of subclinical cardiac disease in vulnerable populations and support the development of imaging-based biomarkers that may guide earlier diagnosis and intervention.
