Hello, I'm Aditya Tejaswi, a PhD student at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. I am an engineer by education with my bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics engineering and my master’s in Medical Engineering respectively. My previous work experience involved the use of AI for image reconstruction of raw k-space (or frequency domain) data acquired using MRI scanners and the use of language models for identification of implant terms from the electronic patient health records so that they are immune to misspellings and are more contextually aware.
Now, my PhD project involves the development of arrhythmia and motion-robust cardiac MRI sequences. Scanning patients with arrhythmia is a challenging task as most clinical sequences make the 'cine' assumption (regular beat-duration) which breaks in patients with arrhythmias. My work includes development of free-breathing sequences through sequence programming and working with different approaches of image-reconstruction to ensure diagnostic quality images from these scans.
