Dr. Avery works at Northwestern University as a Radiologist in Cardiovascular Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Nuclear Cardiology. His interests include the utilization of Cardiac MRI and Nuclear Cardiology to assess myocardial perfusion techniques for both the left ventricle, and more recently, he has focused on how to quantitate improvement of flow to the right ventricle to treat pulmonary hypertension. Further, he serves as the Medical Director of Nuclear Medicine at Northwestern Univesity, where he serves to assist in refine and researching mupltiple fields related to Cardiac, Oncologic, and Neurologic sciences.
