Aamuktha R. Karla is a second-year resident in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is planning to pursue cardiology, with a special interest in cardiac imaging. She completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where she was involved in clinical research focused on the genetic basis for vascular disease, including hereditary aortic aneurysm and dissection. She looks forward to building a foundation in CMR and learning more about how innovations in multimodality imaging are advancing patient care worldwide.
