Faezeh Lotfi Kazemi is a Ph.D. candidate in Experimental Medicine at McGill University, specializing in deep learning applications in cardiovascular imaging. Her research focuses on developing advanced AI-driven algorithms to detect novel biomarkers and identify pathological patterns in cardiac MRI (CMR) images through non-invasive techniques, under the supervision of Matthias G. Friedrich.(from 2022)
Her current work includes:
Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) for Synthetic Imaging: Developing GAN-based models to generate synthetic T2-weighted images from OS-CMR to enhance diagnostic accuracy and improve clinical workflows.
OS-CMR Heat Maps for Myocardial Analysis: Designing deep learning-driven OS heat maps to highlight abnormal myocardial regions, aiding in the detection of conditions such as ischemic , non ischemic scars and myocardial edema.
