Dr. Gina Lazzara is an advanced cardiovascular imaging fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Originally from Glen Ellyn, Illinois, she earned her undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago. Before attending medical school, she worked as a registered nurse in a community hospital for five years, where she developed a strong foundation in bedside care and communication. She went on to earn her medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt and cardiology fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital, where she served as chief fellow. Outside of medicine, Gina is an exercise enthusiast and loves traveling to see live music.
