Malcolm Serran, B.H.Sc. (Hons) is a medical student at the University of Toronto and a student researcher at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute, University of Calgary. His work involves the use of 4D phenomic modelling to quantify left ventricular shape and function in muscular dystrophy. He has also contributed to atrial fibrillation research, exploring the prognostic value of atrial strain analysis for atrial fibrillation recurrence following pulmonary vein ablation. His research interests include cardiac MRI, 3D strain analysis, and the development of digital twins to support precision cardiovascular care.
