Karen Kettless is EMEA Cardiac Lead and Senior Key Expert in MRI at Siemens Healthineers, with extensive experience in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) and advanced MR technology. Her career began in the cardiology department at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, UK, where collaboration with radiology sparked her passion for MRI. She pursued postgraduate studies in MRI at the University of Hertfordshire and later taught cardiac MR as faculty.
Based in Denmark, Karen drives MR collaborations across the Nordics and leads cardiac imaging initiatives throughout EMEA. She has contributed to global training programs, major software releases, and pioneering research projects, including workflow innovations to reduce sedation in pediatric imaging and development of the world’s first low-field dental MRI scanner. Karen is committed to advancing cardiac MR applications and leveraging AI-driven solutions to improve patient outcomes.
