Emmanuelle Vermes is an associate professor at the university hospital CHU Amiens-Picardie, France. She leads the CMR center and the heart failure unit at the Department of Cardiology.
Professor Vermes obtained her medical degree from the University Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France. After a period of post graduate cardiology training in several Parisian hospitals, she specialized in heart failure and completed a post doctoral fellowship at the Montreal Heart Institute. She led the heart transplant medical center at Henri Mondor Hospital, Paris East Creteil, France for 10 years.
Later on, she specialized in cardiac imaging resonance and completed a post doctoral fellowship for 2 years at the Stephenson center in Calgary with Pr Matthias Friedrich before receiving her professorship.
Professor Vermes’s primary clinical and research interest include non-invasive cardiac imaging and advanced heart failure with particular focus on teaching, . She is deeply committed to mentoring students and residents.
