Dr. Masi is a cardiologist with a specialist interest in cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) and heart failure (HF).
She obtained her MD summa cum laude from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome and completed her general cardiology training in Italy.
In 2018, she moved to the UK to undertake advanced specialist training in CMR and HF at the University of Oxford and University College London. She is currently based at the University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV), where she works as a clinician in the Cardiology Department.
She is the author of several peer-reviewed scientific publications and serves as a reviewer for international cardiology journals. Her research activity is conducted in collaboration with CIBM and EPFL under the supervision of Professor Schwitter and Professor Stuber. In 2025, she was awarded a grant from the Emma Muschamp Foundation to pursue her research on the application of non-contrast CMR mapping for risk stratification and outcome prediction in patients with HFpEF
