Alessandro Castiglione is a cardiologist with a primary interest in adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) and cardiac imaging. After studying medicine in Turin, Italy, he completed his cardiology specialty training at the University Heart Center Freiburg in Germany and at Inselspital Bern in Switzerland, where he subspecialized in ACHD and echocardiography. He then developed an interest cardiovascular MRI during an ACHD clinical fellowship at the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland. Since 2024, he has been working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Lund Cardiac MRI group in Sweden.
