Andrada Camelia Guta, MD, PhD, is affiliated with the Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center, where she completed a research fellowship in advanced CMR. Her work centers on right-sided heart disease, with a particular focus on functional tricuspid regurgitation, right-ventricular remodeling, and their relationship with clinical outcomes. She leads a large multicenter CMR study evaluating the prognostic impact of functional tricuspid regurgitation on mortality, integrating quantitative imaging, chamber reshaping, and modern analytic methods. Dr. Guta is actively involved in several cross-institutional CMR collaborations and contributes to ongoing efforts to refine outcome prediction in valvular heart disease. At SCMR 2026, she will present her findings on the association between functional tricuspid regurgitation severity and excess mortality.
