Ahmad Sultan, M.S., is a Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University and a graduate research associate at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan, in 2021, and his M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, in 2024.
Ahmad’s doctoral research focuses on developing and applying advanced signal processing, machine learning, and deep learning methods for cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). His work aims to make cardiac MRI faster, more reliable, and more accessible, particularly for patients who struggle with breath-holding or have irregular heart rhythms. His research is supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) under Grant R01HL151697.
He is advised by Rizwan Ahmad, Ph.D., at The Ohio State University, where he collaborates within a multidisciplinary environment at the interface of engineering, radiology, and cardiology to improve assessment of cardiovascular disease.
