Dr. Alexandros Kallifatidis is a Radiologist with subspecialty in Cardiovascular Imaging and a leading person in Cardiac Imaging (Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI) in Greece. He is a Board Certified Cardiovascular Imaging Radiologist (European Board of Cardiovascular Radiology-EBCR), a member of "Education Committe" and "Communications Committe" and former "Social Media SubCommitte" of SCMR, an active subcommittee member of “Education & EBCR Committee” of ESCR and a Fellow of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (FEACVI). He stands SCMR COCATS Level III.
After finishing his residency in Thessaloniki he was trained in Cardiac Imaging in Heidelberg/Germany (Cardiology Department, University Hospital “Medizinische Klinik”-Prof.Katus- Prof.Korosoglou-Dr.Steen) as well as in Marseille/France (Radiology Department, University Hospital “LA TIMONE”-Prof.Bartoli-Prof. Jacquier).
Since 2007 he is working in St.Luke’s Hospital. Under his supervision the Diagnostic Cardiac Section became one of the leading and well known units in Greece, performing many of the latest imaging techniques in Cardiovascular Radiology, such as CMR Stress-perfussion, CMR Mapping techniques, CMR Strain, 4D Flow etc as well as Stress CT perfusion, Dual Energy CT in daily clinical practice. In addition is taking place a research collaboration with well known Greek and European Radiology and Cardiology Departments.
Dr. Alexandros Kallifatidis participates in as a speaker in several National and International Congresses and Scientific Meetings.
He is organizing Scientific Courses in Greece, with guest Speakers real experts and pioneers in the field of Cardiovascular Imaging.
He participates in as a trainer in European and Greek Cardiovascular Imaging Workshops.
From 2016-2019 he had a part-time collaboration with the Radiology Department of the University Hospital “CHU-Hôpital Nord” in St.Etienne-France (Prof.Croisille)
He is Secretary of the Radiological Society of Northern Greece and member of the Cardiovascular Imaging Sector of the Hellenic Radiological Society.
