Rachel Davids earned her degree in Radiologic Sciences from Indiana University. She began her career as an instructor in a Radiography program while studying for her MR boards. After a decade as a staff MR technologist, she joined Northwestern University as the CMR Research Technologist where her excitement for MR research began. As a passionate advocate for MR safety, she earned her MR Safety Officer (MRSO) credentials and served as the first MRSO for Northwestern Memorial Hospital. As part of her ongoing dedication to education, she established a one-year, hospital based, post-primary MR program for technologists to learn MR and complete clinical requirements. In 2020 she joined Siemens Healthineers as a Clinical Applications Scientist supporting the North America research and development group with CMR topics. Her interests include CMR education, MR safety, workflow improvement and quantitative imaging. Most recently her efforts have centered around emerging CMR applications including quantitative myocardial perfusion.
