Connie W. Tsao, MD, MPH, is Director of Cardiac MRI at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Boston, U.S. Her clinical focus is in interpretation and education of CMR and echocardiography, with a research focus on myocardial and vascular phenotyping, cardiomyopathy, and cardiovascular aging using non-invasive imaging and testing. She is a principal and co-investigator of NIH-funded studies and has led nationally recognized research in community-based cohorts and high-risk populations, including non-ischemic cardiomyopathy and long-standing type 1 diabetes. Dr. Tsao also serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and JACC: Advances, and is an active member of the SCMR Science Committee. She is a Fellow of the American Heart Association and SCMR and is recognized for her contributions to CMR research, education, and clinical translation.
