Kevin Steel is a clinical cardiologist who practices in a small town north of Seattle, Washington, USA. He is fellowship trained in cardiac MRI where he studied under Dr. Raymond Kwong of Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Steel spent 20 years in the United States Air Force as a physician and developed the cardiac MRI program for the largest military health system in addition to being the Program Director for the largest cardiovascular fellowship program in the Department of Defense. He now is part of a community hospital cardiology group where he again developed a successful cardiac MRI program that has grown to scanning over 1,200 cases per year, attracing referrals from both Canada and the US. His interest now is to improve access to cardiac MRI across the country by advising non-academic imaging services in the process of adding cardiac MRI to their repertoire.
