I am an Honorary Associate Professor and Cardiologist, registered as a clinician in the UK. I serve as a Senior Cardiac Fellow at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, within Barts Health NHS Trust and Imperial College London NHS Trust. I hold EACVI Level III accreditation in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) and maintain an active clinical practice in both advanced CMR and transthoracic echocardiography.
My research interests are centered on improving access to cardiac imaging in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) using abbreviated scanning protocols and artificial intelligence. Furthermore, I investigate early cardiac involvement in infectious diseases endemic to LMICs, such as Chagas, Dengue, and Leishmaniasis, and utilize cardiac imaging to examine how the heart adapts or maladapts to high-altitude environments.
