Dr Rabeia Javid is a final-year cardiology trainee in West Yorkshire, UK, specialising in cardiac imaging and heart failure. She completed her medical degree with distinction in Pakistan before pursuing a Master’s in Health Sciences in the UK. Her clinical training includes Core Medical Training and advanced cardiology training, with European certification in Core Cardiology and extensive experience in multimodality cardiac imaging.
Dr Javid has developed particular expertise in cardiac MRI and CT, having interpreted and reported more than 100 cardiac MRI studies and completing Level 1 SCMR and working towards EACVI CMR accreditation. She is actively engaged in the UK cardiac CT training programme with expected Level 2 accreditation.
Alongside her clinical work, she is pursuing MD at the University of Leeds, contributing to several research projects in cardiac MRI, inflammatory cardiac diseases, and coronary physiology. Her work has been presented nationally and internationally, with multiple peer-reviewed publications.
Dr Javid also has a strong interest in education and leadership. She organises weekly imaging teaching sessions, has served as an RCP associate tutor, and contributes to clinical governance and clinical pathway development within her department.
Her long-term goal is to advance cardiac imaging to improve diagnostic precision and cardiovascular outcomes.
