Courtney Pfister is a third-year medical student at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She is currently a student researcher with a focus on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) and its application in identifying prognostic biomarkers in heart transplant rejection. Her research interests center on myocardial tissue characterization and outcomes-based imaging, with the goal of improving risk stratification and long-term management of transplant recipients. Courtney plans to pursue residency training in internal medicine followed by fellowship in cardiology and is interested in a career in academic cardiovascular imaging and outcomes research.
