Luis Brás Rosário is a MD since 1988 and Cardiologist since 1997, Graduate Assistant since 2015. He was a Clinical and Research fellow at Harvard Medical Schoool and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Boston, MA, USA). Currently working in the cardiac Intensive care Unit at Centro Académico Médico de Lisboa / Hospital de Santa Maria.
He did a PhD in Physiology and Medicine in an animal model of Myocardial Infarct and is Assistant Professor at Faculdade de Medicina de Lisboa and Instituto Superior Técnico.
He was an Independent pos Doc at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência from 2006 to 2011 and is currently Principal Investigator at Centro Cardiovascular da Universidade de Lisboa.
His research interest include cardiovascular physiology, intensive care monitoring, cardiac regeneration and clinical trials. He has succeeded to be funded from multiple agencies including FCT, QREN, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Fundação Luso Americana para o Desenvolvimento.
He has been an active member of National and International Scientific and Professional Societies – Sociedade Portuguesa de Cardiologia, Fundação Portuguesa de Cardiologia, American Physiological Society, European Society of Cardiology and American Heart Association. He was a member of the Board of Sociedade Portuguesa de Cardiologia an is current Member of the Executive Committee of Fundação Portuguesa de Cardiologia, trying to improve cardiac care and heart disease prevention.
He has 115 publications; 29 Papers in International Journals with Peer Review and Impact Factor; 44 Comunications in International Journals with Peer Review and Impact Factor; 28 Papers in National Journals with Peer Review and Impact Factor; 4 Papers in Journals with Peer Review without Impact Factor; 1 Book; 5 Book Chapters; 4 Papers in Journals without Peer Review.
