Anna V. Naumova obtained Ph.D. degree in Russia. Her postgraduate training was conducted at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD, USA) to study cardiac energy metabolism and contractile function in mice using MR imaging and spatially localized 31P MR spectroscopy. Then, at the University of Washington (Seattle, WA, USA), Dr. Naumova studied efficacy of human stem cell derived cardiomyocyte transplantation for infarcted heart repair and developed MRI gene reporters to visualize transplanted cells. Currently. Dr. Naumova is a Research Associate Professor at the Department of Radiology, UW Medicine. Her research interests also include development of quantitative imaging methods for translational MRI studies, tissue characterization, non-invasive imaging of heart failure and regeneration.
