Dr. Ferreira is a Senior MRI Physicist at the Royal Brompton Hospital London and a Honorary Research Fellow at Imperial College London.
For the last 13 years, he focused his research on post-processing of in-vivo and ex-vivo cardiac diffusion tensor imaging (cDTI).
He published pioneering work demonstrating alteration of sheetlet orientation in disease which has since become a staple of many clinical cDTI studies, and contributed to the seminal study where measures of microstructural orientation were validated in a pre-clinical model.
