Dr. Ian Paterson is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. He completed his Cardiology training and an Echocardiography Fellowship at the McGill University, followed by a Cardiovascular MRI Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. He is the medical director of cardiac imaging, co-director for cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and director for the Canadian Centre for Rare Cardiac Conditions. His clinical and research interests include: advanced cardiac imaging (MRI and echo); heart failure; cardiomyopathy; and cardio-oncology; .
