Dr. Parra is a professor of pediatrics at Vanderbilt Universityy Medical Center and is the director of Advanced Cardiac Imaging for the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. He obtained his medical degree from the Universidad Centralk del Ecuador in Quito, his pediatric residency was completed at Nicklaus Children's Hospoital in Miami and his pediatric cardiology fellow was completed at the University of Michigan. He did training in cardiac MRI in Boston Children's Hosiptal in 2005. He has been a memebr of SCMR since 2005. His research has been in Duchene muscular dystrophy, and he was a member of the editorial board for Cases of SCMR.
