Kevin is a cardiac MRI radiographer with more than 15 years experience.
He previously established and managed the CMR service in Nottingham, England and along with several other innoivations, became the first radiographer to automously report cardiac MRI scans in the UK in 2020. Whilst at Nottingham Kevin was involved in ongoing research projects and is co-author of several published artices, primarily concerning CMR imaging with implanted cardiac devices.
He left Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) in 2023 to join indusrty and after a breif but succesful period teaching cardiac post processing techniques for Circle Cardiovascular Imaging (CVI42), he is now part of Philips medical UK where he works as their cardiac MRI specialist. Despite this departure into indusrty, he maintains close profession links with the clinical environment and still reports CMR studies for NUH. He also runs a collaborative CMR course with Philips and NUH for technologists and Clinicians as well as a CMR level 1 course for registrars and fellows annualy in Nottingham along with a Cardiologist colleague.
He is a champion of advanced practice for technologists within CMR and has produced extensive educational materials, workshops and courses to support this.
He is the current chair of the BSCMR radiographer working group and a board member as well as a guest lecturer at University of London.
