Dr. Edythe Tham completed her medical and pediatric training in Australia followed by Pediatric Cardiology and Imaging training in the USA. She is currently a Professor in Pediatric Cardiology at the Stollery Children's Hospital, University of Alberta specializing in cardiac imaging - echocardiography and cardiac MRI. Her research interests are in novel imaging techniques to evaluate cardiac function in cardiomyopathies and single ventricles. She is the Director of the Pediatric Cardiology Residency program and the Cardiac MRI advanced imaging fellowship. She is also the founder of the Virtual Heart Connection, a Physician-led volunteer initiative that aims to connect children and their families with CHD via online and inperson events.
