Laura Cristina Dragonetti, MD, is a radiologist specializing in cardiovascular imaging, with more than 20 years of experience in cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) and computed tomography. She completed advanced subspecialty training in CMR at the Royal Brompton Hospital and currently serves as Head of Cardiac Imaging at multiple tertiary-care centers in Buenos Aires, including Hospital Militar, Hospital Alemán, and Instituto Alexander Fleming.
Her clinical and academic interests focus on cardiomyopathies—particularly Fabry disease, amyloidosis, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy—as well as the development and implementation of rapid and accessible CMR protocols. Dr. Dragonetti is deeply committed to medical education and has been a long-standing faculty member of the Argentine Society of Radiology and the Argentine Society of Cardiology, holding several leadership roles. She also leads the Women Radiologists group, actively promoting mentorship and equal opportunities in academic and clinical radiology. Her recent work includes international collaborative projects integrating artificial intelligence into cardiovascular imaging, aimed at improving diagnostic accuracy, workflow efficiency, and global access to advanced cardiac imaging
