Otavio Coelho-Filho, MD, PhD, MPH

Dr. Coelho-Filho is a cardiologist with broad interests in heart failure and advanced cardiovascular imaging. He has authored more than 100 original peer-reviewed articles, primarily focused on cardiovascular disease, published in high-impact international journals. He also contributes his expertise to the editorial boards of two major medical journals and serves as a manuscript reviewer for over 15 scientific periodicals. Currently, he is an Associate Editor of Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging, the journal of the American Heart Association.

Dr. Coelho-Filho actively participates in national and international scientific committees of leading societies, including the São Paulo Society of Cardiology (SOCESP), the Brazilian Society of Cardiology (SBC), and the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR). He is the Principal Investigator of studies funded by CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) and FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation). He presently holds the position of Associate Professor (MS5.1) in the Discipline of Cardiology, Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medical Sciences, at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP).
