Gabriela Liberato graduated from Federal University of Paraná Medical School, Curitiba, PR and continued her residency of Internal Medicine. Following that she completed a cardiology fellowship at Dante Pazzanese Institute of Cardiology, São Paulo.
After completing her training in cardiology, she concluded a 2-year fellowship in Cardiovascular Imaging (CMR and CTA) at Heart Institute (InCor), University of São Paulo Medical School, and later was a member of the observer fellowship program in Congenital Heart Disease Imaging (CMR) at Boston Children's Hospital - Harvard Medical School.
The main area of interest includes MRI parametric mapping analysis, diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias with CMR, congenital heart disease and coronary artery disease diagnosis with CMR and CCTA.
Liberato is a member of the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) and former Chair of SCMR Translations Committee.

Currently serving as v.president of CMR department of Brazilian Society of Cardiology (2026-27)
