Marcio Sommer Bittencourt is an associate professor of medicine (cardiology) and radiology at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, USA where he also acts as the director of cardiac computed tomography. He completed his clinica training in Cardiology at the Heart Institute from the University of Sao Paulo where he also got his Ph.D. He also did a post doctoral fellowship in cardiovascular Imaging at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. He also completed a Masters of Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health.
